The new children's book ""Stanley and Porkchop" is now available for purchase! This book, written and edited by me, relays the seperate journeys of my two blind dogs, Stanley and Porkchop, from a deprived beginning to a new life living here. It also tells the astounding story of how these two sightless canines discovered each other and became the closest of friends. The book is geared for ages 6-12, but I have been told adults enjoyed it too!
All book sale proceeds go to support Tootsie's Vision , which hopes to help scores more blind dogs in 2016 than we did this past year. The book is available for purchase from most online book sellers, including Barnes and Noble and Amazon. It is prices at $11.99.
Copies of this book will also be donated to libraries and elementary schools, so that children can learn that animals, and people, with disabilities love life and deserve a chance to live it fully. If you or someone you know would like to read the book to children at a school and then donate the book, I would be happy to send you a copy.
A book party will be held on January 30 (my very own 60th birthday!) at the AARCC on Corrales Road, from 4 to 6, Books will be available to purchase and kids are welcome!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
