Tootsie's Vision does it again!
Yesterday, Tootsie's Vision was able to rescue a surrendered dog named Lulu from the AWD Eastside Shelter, where her time there had expired. I drove down during rush hour and picked up a 5 lbs. fragile, soft little mini-poodle who was still a bit groggy from earlier dental surgery. Lulu had little chance of being adopted: she is 13 years old, is deaf, mostly blind, has weak back legs and pulmonary fibrosis. She isn't in pain and she loved when I sat her in my lap and petted her and scratched her ears. My wonderful friend and Tootsie's Vision supporter, Marta Weber of Corrales, NM, adopted Lulu and will make sure that however much time she has left, it is comfortable, warm, safe and filled with love and affection. The photo is before Lulu was groomed....now she looks like a fuzzy puppy. Good luck Lulu!!!
